The following is an almost complete list of synopses for the films of the T&T Film Festival.


Title: A LOSS OF INNOCENCE

This experimental film is an exploration of (non) linear motion. With erratic camera movements and creative angles, this short film follows a young man in his quest through barren lands to literally try and move things forward. The filmmaker works against the traditional fiction narrative arc and instead attempts to depict characters that "do not necessarily have a moral purpose but are emotionally affective."

Her mother tells her stories, revealing a troubled and violent marriage, and Jesse is forced to face the truth about her past.

Presenting the Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival

The inaugural Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival takes place in Trinidad from the 19th to the 26th of September at the MovieTowne entertainment complex, Invader's Bay, Port of Spain.

The festival will screen over 40 feature films, documentaries and short films made by filmmakers from the Caribbean and the Caribbean Diaspora, including Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Cuba, Guadeloupe, Grenada, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Suriname, Canada, the United States and Trinidad and Tobago. Many of the directors, actors and producers will be present to introduce and discuss their films.

Each day of the festival, with the exception of the first day, begins at 11am with a programme of short/student films. Screenings then run at 1pm, 3.30pm, 6pm and 8.30pm. Admission for each screening is $15, while students in uniform pay $5.
